Our team recently had an opportunity to meet winemaker John Lockwood from Enfield Wine Co. in California. We were familiar with his wines, but his visit really convinced us that he has something special happening at Enfield. He started Enfield Wine Co. in 2010 as a small side-project while still working at Failla, and in 2013 took the plunge with Enfield as a full time project. Enfield Wine Co. seeks out vineyards that possess a distinct and powerful sense of place – across region, grape variety, and vine age. The wines represent the "new" California - sourced fruit from fantastic and historic vineyards made in a way that expresses place over heavy use of new oak and overly luxurious fruit. We look forward to sharing 3 wines from his lineup with you.
