We are excited to share that we received a small allocation of some special red wines from Piedmonte this Spring and will be featuring them in an exclusive winemaker spotlight flight on June 8th. The land he grows in comes from his maternal grandfather Pòtu, (diminutive for Giuseppe in dialect) and the whole enterprise is a few lines of Nebbiolo inside and outside of the Barbaresco designation, as well as small patches of Dolcetto, Barbera & Grinolino. All vineyard work is done by hand, with minimal treatments of only copper and sulfur. In the cellar, he uses older barrels of 440 liters and 500 liters, glass and stainless steel. The total production is around 5000 bottles a year of 18 different wines. Each an every wines has a special story to tell. Join us to hear (and taste) more about this fascinating wine maker!
